If one were to do a Google search for "Dineen Wasylik" one would find that while this site is the number one hit, numbers two and three are from the Bradlands. And number three is entitled "Moist Men in a Mirror." Ahem. It's really not as bad as it sounds. But still, I never thought my own name would be come a disturbing search request!
I'm not going to steal my husband's thunder by spilling his good news, but I am so proud of him right now that I can hardly contain myself. Let's just say the judge payed him probably the highest compliment a judge could give an attorney. OK, now that that's out of my system, I can get back to work.
By the way, if people are wondering what it was that was making me work 20 hour days while we were trying to move, you can find the whole shebang published here. We represent both Sirius Satellite Radio (Comment 29) and the Joint Broadcasters (Comment 31). Comment 31 -- all 200 some-odd pages of it -- is what was keeping me up nights. We're now working on the second round of comments, which is due next Friday. Wish me luck. And sleep.
Today is the one month anniversary of our closing on the new place. We've done a lot in less than a month! This weekend, my hope is to place the bookshelves so that we can unpack the boxes of books and be almost box free. With an empty living room.
Despite having no living room furniture and boxes strewn all about, we hosted our first dinner party at the new place yesterday in honor of Easter, and it was a success. Just goes to show, all you need is good food and good company! Still, I am hoping that the next time Ada and Mike come over, there will be someplace to sit besides around the dining room. I felt truly blessed this Easter -- surrounded by family and friends, settling into a bright and airy new home, and connected to loved ones far away by phone and Ofoto.
