Ada and Mike just called with the news that they are parents. Mike, in his Mike way, informs me that I am now in the on-deck circle. The skinny on their darling son:
Arthur Alejandro
born May 28, 2003 at 6:27 pm
21 inches, 8lbs, 6oz
Mother and baby and hubby are all doing wonderfully. The little boy relented and made his appearance just in time to avoid the doctors deciding to cut Mommy. I just can't wait to meet him -- and soon thereafter, introduce him to his new little friend!
Can't New York's Finest tell the difference between loitering and a pregnant woman resting her poor tired feet? Apparently not.

I've been fairly quiet in this space as of late -- I haven't really mentioned the pregnancy as often as one might expect. The reason is, I've been keeping a diary over the course of the pregnancy in a semi-hidden location, but the design and backend were not quite ready for public consumption. Finally, it is ready for prime time. The first page will eventually be the most recent picture of baby Wasylik, and look there for the web birth announcement as well. It then clicks through to the pregnancy diary, which in two weeks (plus or minus two weeks) will become the parenting diary.
Without further ado, check out Attorney Work Product.
Baby Wasylik's arrival is getting awfully close. There's just a wee bit over 2 weeks until my due date, and the baby could basically come at any time. I feel like there is so much to do before then -- pack a bag, register with the hospital, find a pediatrician, was the diapers, etc., etc., get some closure at work, fix the baby website so it can finally go public, pre-order announcements -- so in that sense I am not quite ready. But despite those stresses, if the baby were to arrive tomorrow, Mike and I would be just totally thrilled. We're ready for ya, darling!
To all you Moms and Moms-to-be. I had a fabulous one -- slept in, had a yummy breakfast, then a long walk on the beach before a leisurely drive home from Ocean City. Nice and relaxing. This time next year, my baby will be 11 months old!
