To the hospital we go...

We've made some progress on the ripening/effacing front, but I am still only 1 cm dilated. Soooo...tonight by 6 pm I should be in the hospital started on some medicine to get things even softer and riper (and hopefully, more open too!). Tomorrow morning, if labor hasn't started during the night, we'll get a kick start. There will likely be a baby before you go to bed tomorrow night.

So in the meantime, busy, busy, busy. Trying to get the house all prettied up so baby isn't embarassed when he or she comes home. There's no internet access at the hospital, but we'll try to pass the word ASAP. June 11th is a good day for a birthday, I think.

Dear munchkin-in-the-making,

It's not such a scary world out here, although I can appreciate your reluctance to leave the sanctity of constant warmth, feeding and nurturing. But your parents will make sure you get that, as much as possible, for the next 18 years. Come on out, little one! We can't wait to see your first photo! And indeed, June 11 is an awesome birthdate. :)

Love from a fellow Gemini,
Dawn

Oh sweet baby, Grandma is pacing and waiting for your arrival. Come soon! Your Mommy is doing a great job and your Daddy is really helping her along. I wish I could be there to welcome you to the world! I love you already and you haven't even been born yet!
Love,
Grandma

I just had a quick call from Michael, and he asked me to post a note to all of you who are also anxiously waiting. I don't expect another update until after the baby is born, but right now things are progressing smoothly without any problems. No predictions on how much longer, but my guess is that it will be a while. All is well.
Love to all of you who are inquiring,
Grandma in Tampa

I've been at work all day without an internet connection, so I spent much of my day calling my internet-connected friends to find out what's going on the Baby Wasylik front. "Are there any updates? Any news? Is the baby here yet??" I'm soooo excited! This page is my home page on IE!

Best wishes!
jenn
