Atlanta
Alex and Mommy traveled all by themselves to Atlanta this weekend to surprise Aunt Hertle (and help her pass the time until her baby arrives) and visit with Nicole and Paul and Jonah. Alex looked so grown up at the airport, wearing his little back pack of toys and toddling along. I am lucky no one asked for proof that he was under two!
We had a really amazing time, thanks to the hospitality of all of our hosts. To Alex, "hospitality" translates into "stash of neat toys we don't have at home or day care" but I won't quibble. Jonah selflessly shared his lawnmower and his air ball toy, among many others, and and Ellen shared her kitchen set and a singing Winnie the Pooh, among others. Ethan -- son of the Hertle's friend Dee, who threw the shower -- also was great at sharing, so Alex was never bored. And when in doubt, there is always wrapping paper!
