Getting to Yes (Please!)

For a while there, Alex’s positive response to questions posted to him was a two-syllable “Yeah!” So cute, though not 100% appropriate. I always try to correct with yes, and when appropriate, yes, please. All of a sudden, it’s all gotten through. About a week ago, Alex clearly started enunciating YES rather than saying YEAH. And last night, he said “yes, please!” — appropriately, repeatedly — without prompting. My sweet, polite little man.
