Rush Week

Posted by Dineen on October 25th, 2005 filed in Alex

This week at day care reminds me a little bit of rush week in college. Every day leading up to the big event (in this case, Halloween) is marked by a different theme. Yesterday was wear your pajamas to school day, and Alex was all dressed up in his cute scary friends Halloween pajamas and ready to go. Turns out when Mike got to day care, they had closed due to Hurricane Wilma, so poor guy was all dressed up with no place to go. Wilma effected a sharp change in temperature for our area, and just in time for Orange and Black day, since I had bought Alex a long-sleeved shirt with a Jack O’Lantern face on it for today. Since the high today is predicted to be a mere 65 degrees, He is also wearing some new blue jeans for the first time today, whereas on Sunday when we went to the pumpkin patch we were all sweating in shorts and 85 degree weather!

Next up:
Wednesday — Dress Silly Day
Thursday — Dress Like Hobo Day
Friday — Wear your Costume Day/Halloween Parade

For dress silly day, we are wearing backwards, unmatching clothes and possible pajama bottoms. For Hobo Day, I actually made an outfit out of an old pair of overalls and just hope he will deign to wear it! And for Costume Day, our little train fanatic will be dressed as a train engineer. Again, hoping he deigns to wear the overalls! (pictures of all of this to follow).

Should be an interesting week!
