Alex’s First Conversation With His Sibling

As per our usual routine, after Alex’s bath we snuggled into pajamas and settled into reading in the glider in his room. Alex was having trouble getting comfortable, I guess, because he was squirming and poking my belly with his elbows (ouch!). I told him “Alex, you have to be careful, you are going to hurt Mommy and the baby, that hurts!”

Alex sat up, pulled up my shirt, and said to my belly “OK, Baby?” Then he kissed the little one, pulled down my shirt, and patted my belly gently. Made my heart melt.

I do think he is starting to get the whole baby is coming thing!
