Still Aces!

Thumper once again scored a 10 out of 10 on another biophysical profile. Good little test taker. This time, we were done with the nonstress test portion in record time — eating breakfast and drinking enough before the appointment will do wonders for the child’s activity levels. With a nonstress test, they are looking for three “peaks” of heatbeat rate spikes in a 20 minute period, generally coinciding with baby’s movement. Basically, your heartbeat speeds up a little when you exercise, right? They want to see that happen with the baby, too, as it is a sign that the baby is getting enough oxygen. Thumper definitely is, as we got our 3 peaks no problem in less than 10 minutes. I think they just caught the poor child asleep last time.

So baby is fine, my weight is the same, my blood pressure is fine (112/68, I think!?) and there is no reason to think the baby is going to make an exit any time soon. So the plan for now is to keep trying to get Thumper to budge internally and turn head down so that we can get this show on the road!
