Flowers

On our drive home from Atlanta two nights ago, we stopped at a rest stop so that I could feed Nate and Alex could run around a little and use up some energy after being in the cars for several hours. As I sat at a picnic table and nursed, Alex ran around and started picking “flowers” from the grass and bringing them to me. He kept saying “flowers for you, Mommy!” It was the first bouquet my son ever gave me. I briefly considered keeping them and drying them out somehow, but then decided to take take a picture instead.

Then today, hecame home from school with another flower, this one that he made out of construction paper, tissue paper, and a pipe cleaner.

I love it when my boy brings me flowers.
