Roseola

Nate still wasn’t 100 percent today. He had a rough night last night — didn’t really want to sleep unless propped up on me. Didn’t really want to nurse, even, leaving me a little lost without the booby trump card. I had him in a sling and walked back and forth the length of the house for a good half an hour at around 1 am. And then sat up in the rocking chair til 2. And then sat up in bed til 4. Finally at 4 I came to my senses and decided to give him some more Tylenol even though he didn’t have fever symptoms just in case he was in pain, and he conked out and I got to mostly sleep until 7-ish. Well, more like 6-ish, but I slept through most of that nursing session, as I was zonked myself.

But today another symptom showed up that makes me think his official diagnosis should be Roseola — got a call at around 3 that he had developed a rash all over his body, and had I changed detergents or something? I had changed detergents, actually, but to another Free and Clear brand, so I doubted that was the cause. I consulted Dr. Google, and then did a backup consult with out actual doctor, and she concurred in my diagnosis. The good news is, that means it should definitely all be downhill from here! He went to bed well this evening, which I am hoping is a good sign!
