He was supposed to hate it

My baby is a traitor. Today, for the first time in his almost seven months, I had to make a bottle of formula for him. I ran out of my stash over a month ago, and I have been barely keeping up ever since. Yesterday I had a particularly busy day at work and missed a pumping session. So I was a whole bottle’s worth of milk short.

It was a painful, painful decision. I was really hoping to be able to say that Nate never had formula. Both for his sake, nutritionally, and for my own bragging rights. But I didn’t see any other choice.

The worst part is, the bugger didn’t even seem to notice. He sucked the formula down just as eagerly as any bottle of momma’s milk, I am told. Food is food to him.

I wish it were that simple for me.
