That explains it

Alex had a fever yesterday. That would explain all of the extra sleep! He was fighting off something. I got a call from the day care just as I was walking out the door at 5 pm that he had spiked a 102 degree temp. and was miserable. When I got to school, he was a total wet noodle — had melted into one of his teachers and would only let go for me to carry him out to the car. He wouldn’t walk. Thankfully, I had some homemade chicken soup in the freezer for just such an occasion. When we got home, I poured him onto the couch and gave him a sippy cup of juice, a dose of Motrin, and a blanket. He just pitifully kept saying he was cold, thirsty, and wanted soup.

By the time dinner was on the table, the Motrin had kicked in and Alex was much improved, thankfully. He was almost his normal self by bedtime. Today I stayed home with him just in case, and we ended up doing a bunch of errands, including (bad mommy) ice cream as an afternoon snack/treat. Glad to see him back to normal!
