Soooo Big!

I have been trying to teach Nate that he is “so big!” I started by holding his hands in mine and saying “How big is Nate…SO BIG!” and pulling his hands up over his head. He definitely got it, but took me very literally — it got to a point where when I said “How big is Nate?” he would reach out and grab my hands before pulling them up over his head. This weekend he finally seems to be doing it without holding my hands at the same time. We can now hold our heads up high at Nate’s next doctor’s appointment (I didn’t know it was considered a milestone with Alex and we “failed” that one at Alex’s 9 month checkup).

Meanwhile, Alex is flexing his humor muscles some more. Recently when I asked Nate “How big is Nate?” I heard a silly “soooo small!” in response from the big boy in the next room. He cracked us all up with that one.
