Aunt Keri’s Wedding

Alex has been looking forward to going to — and more specifically, dancing at — Aunt Keri’s wedding for weeks. There is a fine line between giving him enough notice of a big change and too much notice so that it feels like forever for him. I think I hit the sweet spot on this one though — I prepared him for the horror of having to wear a button shirt all. day. long. but he managed to not complain too hard. Nate had it a little rough; being away from Mommy for so long is tough on a little guy. And he managed to scratch his face but good, too, unfortunately. But overall, the kiddos were splendidly behaved. Alex did, in fact, dance quite a bit. And everyone thought they were cute as heck.

As for the wedding itself — magnificent. The setting was gorgeous, the bride was gorgeous, the ceremony was gorgeous. I felt so, so honored to be standing next to my best friend, my sister, as she entered into this wonderful next stage of her life. She, Tim, and Sean are such a wonderful loving family, and the fabulous party just made it all official. Not a dry eye in the house during the ceremony!
