“Let me poop in peace!”

Anyone who has young kids at home of course knows that one’s bathroom time is not really one’s own. Well, Alex discovered this little pearl of wisdom today as well. As Alex was taking his postprandial power poop this evening, Nate crawled into the bathroom and before Mike could stop him tried to pull himself to standing by leaning on the shorts and undies pooling around Alex’s ankles. (I know, ick). As Mike tried to pull him away, Alex yelled “Baby Nate, let me poop in peace!”

Wonder where he got that little phrase from. Oh yeah, me.

Mike and I of course broke out in hysterical peals of laughter. To which a very serious Alex informed us “it’s not funny, Daddy. I need to poop in peace.”

Yes, we laughed some more. What goes around, comes around, son.
