Pushover

Obviously I am not as consistent with being disciplined with the kids as I thought. Tonight Alex was having a hard time transitioning from playtime to bed time so I pulled out the timer, set it for three minutes, and explained that he could play until the timer went off and then it was time for bed. When the timer beeped, I asked him “do you know what that beep means, Alex?” He replied confidently, “the beep means it is time to set the timer for a few more minutes.”

Needless to say, as cute as that was, I couldn’t exactly fall for that one. Let’s just say the evening devolved from there.

    LOL…you probably are consistant…he is just getting wise to the system and figuring out how to use it to his advantage! Smart kid to figure out that you can add minutes!!!!!

    It struck me as I was playing catchup on reading about the adventures of the Wasylik kids, just how great a writer mommy is.
