Shoeless Nate Wasylik
Posted by Dineen on January 10th, 2007 filed in NateIt feels a little white-trashy to leave the house with a barefoot baby in the middle of winter, but Nate really makes it hard to get enthused about putting socks and shoes on him. When I do put them on, they are pulled off and thrown all over the back seat by the time I finish the two minute ride from home to day care in the morning. If I put them back on his feet before I bring him in, the are almost inevitably off when I pick him up, because it is so hard to keep them on his feet. He pulls and tugs and throws and thinks it is a grand old game. Tonight, I picked him up after work, harrangued and over tired, to find him wearing only one of the two socks I put on him this morning. The other was nowhere to be found, I was told (and I believe it!). So, off we went to the pizza joint with only one sock. Gawkers be damned. Hey, at least I was still dressed in my professional work clothes…and of course, there is the mantra: I wil never see these people again!
