A little bit Rock and Roll

It’s not even 2 pm yet, and so far today Alex has:
1) Strummed the guitar in the living room and declared “I am rock and roll!”
2) Dressed himself in a safari hat and his brother in a railroad engineer’s hat.
3) Covered himself and his brother in dinosaur stickers (with parental approval)
4) Announced “I am wearing two necklaces, one beads and one shells. Cool!”
5) Accompanied me on a food shopping excursion.
6) Helped me bake a cake.
7) Refused to eat lunch. 8) Helped me sew his teddy bear back together, by getting the sewing kit and cutting the thread.
9) Refused to watch two different episodes of Dora that he has seen before but found scary. Even as he told me the whole plot, he still insisted on not watching “Hic-Boom-ah!” or “Star Mountain” (green slime is scary).
10) Declared “I am an animal rescuer!” while insisting on snuggling his Rescue Pack and watching Diego.

Wonder what the rest of the day will bring?

Edited to answer my own rhetorical question:
Alex spent 45 minutes, six rags, and two sprayers full of vinegar solution cleaning the fronts and sides of the kitchen cabinets while I worked on cleaning the kitchen, the front of the refrigerator, the front of the stove, the kitchen table, and the particularly dirty spots on the floor. Then Mr. I-don’t-need-a-nap crashed on the ottoman under Daddy’s watchful eye while I did a Sam’s Club run. At Grandma and Grandpa’s house, he threw acorns and rocks into the lake, called to the ducks, threw the most fantastic defiant tantrum I have ever seen him throw, ate a good dinner, had some birthday cake, and fell asleep on the way home. What a day.
