Easter Weekend

We had a lovely, if low key, Easter weekend. On Saturday we had dinner at our neighbor’s house with another family from the neighborhood, and did a little egg hunt for the kids. Nate didn’t quite get it, and just toddled around with the first two eggs he found in his hands. Alex helped a brother out, though — he collected enough eggs to fill both his and Nate’s basket! It was unseasonably cold, so we scrapped the water slide that was initially in our plans, bundled up in sweatshirts and sweatpants, and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit as the sun set.

On Sunday, the Easter bunny arrived! He was nice enough to bring the boys each new pair of Crocs, as well as some Peeps, a chocolate bunny, and some chocolate eggs. The Bunny was even kind enough to bring a package from Nani and Pop Pop! We went to church (at various point, I wore both Nate and Alex in the sling, and the priest made a comment about Alex’s lovely purple shoes), had Taco Bell for lunch (don’t ask!) and then went home and relaxed and enjoyed the day. Topped off the day with a nice meal of roast lamb. Quiet, low key, but very nice nonetheless.
