Croc-a-holic

The Easter Bunny did really well this year — Alex my comfort king is obsessed with his Crocs. He wants them on the second he wakes up in the morning, and wears them until I insist he puts sneakers on for school. For the past two days, the first thing he does upon returning home from school is march to his room, trade whatever pants he is wearing for loose elastic-waisted shorts, and trade his sneakers for his Crocs. It’s a struggle to get him to not wear them in the tub (don’t tell him they could go in the tub, I need those feet to get clean and those shoes to stay dry!). Then it’s PJs and Crocs, which he also insists on wearing to bed.

And did I mention they are purple? That is part of why he loves them so. Purple is by far Alex’s favorite color, and he loves all things purple (in fact, he did his homework last night in purple crayon!). Please don’t be one of the rude people who tries to tell him that purple is a girl color. Purple is a color, and colors belong to everyone, thank you very much.
