Rock Out
Posted by Dineen on May 11th, 2007 filed in From the Mouths of BabesWe were at Target today after I picked the boys up from school and Alex insisted on wanting to push the buttons on the music sampler board. You know, those stations where they play clips from all the songs on several CDs to entice you to buy? He was so adamant he was willing to patiently wait while someone else was using it. When it was his turn, he matter-of-factly stated “I want to hear some Rock and Roll!” and started pressing buttons. And totally rocking out. So much so that people were gawking and pointing (in an isn’t he adorable kind of way). At one point, he coolly removed his sunglasses from their perch tucked into the front of his shirt, slipped them on, and proceeded to head bang. His favorites seemed to be 80s Rock, Funky Groove, and Dance ReMix (yes, that is my almost-four-year-old bopping to Funky Cold Medina).
I had a bit of a rough day today, and at dinner, Mike asked me to name something good that happened today. This and Nate learning the sign for cold was what I came up with.
