Molar

Today just before his nap Nate climbed up on the step stool, pointed to the medicine container on the kitchen counter, and signed please. I asked him if he wanted medicine and he nodded vigorously. I hate to overmedicate, but his gums have been so swollen lately that I quickly gave him a dose of Tylenol. A few hours later, we were goofing around and I was tickling him on his belly as he was sprawled out in my lap. He threw his head back in gales of laughter and there it was: A new molar popping through on the top right. (I thought it was out of order since he doesn’t have any canines yet, but it turns out this is the right order, and indeed even a little late!). I don’t blame the poor kid for wanting some Tylenol! And I am so glad we are at the point now where he can ask me for it.
