The Biter

I know it’s a stage. Alex went through it — there was a point where he did it three days out of five. Still, I feel awful that Nate has started biting his friends. The parents of the biter and the parents of the bitee are never told who the other child is, for privacy reasons. But yesterday was the worst — Nate bit another child on the face. And though they wouldn’t tell me who it was, they did tell me that the mother was crying when she picked up her child, in part because they had family pictures scheduled for this weekend.

Worse yet, even though they wouldn’t tell me who it was, I saw the Mom dropping him off today. It was pretty obvious. And the poor kiddo was reticent to enter the class, I think because Nate had bit him the day before.

Please let’s get past this phase quickly. We only bite food, not people. I will keep saying it, and eventually it will sink in.
