All I want for Christmas…

We went to the Mall to meet up with the local babywearers’ group and purchase outfits for our holiday pictures. I didn’t expect to see Santa out before Thanksgiving, but there he was. And Alex was enthralled! We weren’t dressed for pictures (we were barely dressed for public — the kiddos were in sweats and T-Shirts!) but the line was short and how in the world could I deny a four year old the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap when he was asking to do so? Nate hung back (though did give Santa a high five), while Alex hopped right on and proclaimed he wanted a motorcycle for Christmas. I have no idea where that came from. He clarified that he meant a toy one, not one that he could ride on.

And then Santa said the best Santa line I have ever heard: “You need to trust Santa to bring you the right present this year.” Brilliant and so true!

So no pictures of our first visit to Santa this season, though we will likely try to fit in one more for posterity’s sake. In the meantime, if you want ideas other than a motorcycle as to what might serve the kiddos well, check out their wish list.
