Ouch!

Not sure what it means for me that I sliced my lifeline open a little over an inch. Taking five stitches. And taking my right hand out of commission for a lot of things for the next ten days, during the height of the holiday season. Oy. Anyone out there into palm reading and able to tell me that this will just add character to my life line, not shorten it!?!?

I feel compelled to edit this post to add note of the kids’ reactions to my wound (really, it’s all about them, not me!). Nate has done a decent job of being gentle, and gingerly pats my hand when he sees the wrapping. Alex can tell the whole story of how Mommy hurt her hand. And got stitches. And the stitches are green. And they are DEESgusting.
