Take me out to the ballgame

We spent a lovely Friday afternoon at Legends Field watching the Yankees get beat by the Astros with our friend Tom Bridge. The kids were wonderfully well behaved for the most part. The only down side was Alex’s obsession with catching a ball. We were well positioned for the possibility — and he even had his mitt with him — but it just didn’t happen. And he was crushed. In the ninth inning, we moved down to seats right behind the dugout, but couldn’t get any Astros’ attention enough to get a ball tossed our way. Alex was a screaming puddle of goo from the time of the last out until we reached the car. Just a bit too over sensitive!
