Wii-quest

Alex came home from school today and asked for a Wii. I am not even sure he entirely knows what a Wii is. He just knows his friend Fay has a Wii (Fay also has an older brother!) and he likes playing games on it, so Alex wants one too. I told Alex “you are not old enough for a Wii!” and he countered “How many old do I have to be to get a Wii? Five old?” I told him five isn’t old enough for a Wii either, and Daddy and I haven’t yet decided how old is old enough.

Now, I think the Wii is cooler and more physical than most video games — and maybe even from time to time have had a little Wii envy myself — but I think for all of our sakes, the Wii needs to say out of the house for the time being!
