A Two Year Old Processes Death

Nate is a little too young to get what went on this week. He was mostly really intrigued by the flowers around the casket — wanted to go and smell them all, which he did, several times. He also asked me to take him up to the casket, where he would then say “bye bye Tootsie Nani!” and wave, with a little prompting. At the last viewing, he actually patted her on the shoulder as well. I have no idea how much he absorbed. But he was sweet and loving.
