Swim Class!
Posted by Dineen on May 10th, 2008 filed in Alex, Brotherly Love, Family Fun, Milestones, Nate, Picture PerfectToday has been quite a busy, busy day for wet Wasylik males. First, Mike and Grandpa ran the Miles for Moffitt 5K race to raise money for cancer research and prove they could. And they did! I can’t tell it better than Mike, so I will let him share the race details. We were home by 9:30, the boys rested a little, and then after an early lunch we headed over to the pool for swim lessons. Nate’s lesson was all about teaching me how to work with him — our main goal for the whole class is to get him to know to swim to the side of the pool in case of emergency. Alex’s class is geared toward learning to float, and he does his class without a parent in the water. They were both just great! Nate put on his listening ears and really took to every step of the way. And Alex? He was thrilled to be taking the lesson. He eagerly raised his hand each time Miss Kim asked who wanted to try the next task first, was enthusastic, happy, and just a joy to watch. Good thing, too — we are going to be doing this Saturday *and* Sunday for four weeks!
