Registered

Today I dutifully gathered all sorts of proof that Alex exists, is my son, and lives where we live, and brought all of those things to school to register Alex for kindergarten. I filled out a ton of forms, and was assured that I will enjoy meeting his teacher on teacher day next month. When they figure out what that day is. As I was leaving, I ran into one of our neighbors, and she exclaimed, “what are you doing up here?” When I explained, she looked at me and the tears came. I can’t believe I got that emotional about paperwork. The first day of school is going to be tough!
