I’m going to play up the genuis and play down the politics…

We have some educational placemats, you know the type: Dinosaurs, planets (no Pluto!), US Map, and presidents. Nate’s been really into the presidents one lately. He sits at the table, points at a picture, and asks “Who dat? Who dat? Who dat?” waiting impatiently in between for me to spurt out the guy’s name.

So today we were getting ready for dinner, and I was distracted, and Nate pointed and said “who dat?” and I got confused and said Carter when he was pointing at Reagan. To which Nate replied “nooooo, silly, that’s Reagan!” Just in case I thought it was a fluke, he kept going back and pointing to Reagan. He’s the only one, so far, he can reliably name.

This scares me a little and makes Mike proud.

In any event, I am pretty positive Reagan sticks in his head because we have a good friend a little younger than Nate named Reagan. That’s my explanation, and I am sticking to it!
